About us
transprose is a team of two technical translators: Anne-Virginie Poidvin obtained a DESS (postgraduate diploma) in translation from the University of Rennes II in 2001 and started her career as a proofreader and project manager for Crestec Europe, in the Netherlands. After returning to France in 2003, she set up as a freelance technical translator. In 2012, to better serve her clients, she welcomed Anne-Laure Lecellier to her team. Anne-Laure also graduated in translation studies (Master 2 MTC2M) from the University of Rennes II. Together, they take care of all the translation projects they receive, from English, Dutch and German. No projects are subcontracted.
The team
Anne-Virginie Poidvin
Anne-Virginie’s plan was to be a teacher or a researcher. However, it quickly became obvious to her that she would become a translator. She obtained a DESS (postgraduate diploma) in translation from the University of Rennes II in 2001 and went to work in Amsterdam for a few years as a project manager at a Japanese translation agency. After returning to France, she set up her own translation company. What she enjoys in her work is its variety. Every day is different! When she is not working, Anne-Virginie likes spending time at home, watching series and documentaries and cheering on her three kids, who all play basketball.
Anne-Laure Lecellier
After a brief foray into the book industry, Anne-Laure discovered the translation world almost by chance and found her path. After gaining her translation diploma (English and German), she joined transprose, where Anne-Virginie professionally trained her. Anne-Laure translates and reviews a variety of projects and subjects. This variety is what she likes the most about her job, as much as finding the right words to convey the original idea. When she is not working, Anne-Laure likes to spend time in her garden, dive into a book or let off steam on a badminton court.
