Our services

Translation and localisation have been our core business for more than 20 years. We offer various types of services, which are detailed below.

Translation

We take care of the translation of numerous documents from English, Dutch and German into French. We can offer business translations (leaflets, catalogues, brochures, advertising materials, etc.), marketing translations (market research, communication materials, opinion polls, newsletters, etc.), IT translations (websites, apps, software, online help, etc.), legal translations (user contracts, licence contracts, certificates, articles of association, etc.), medical and pharmaceutical translations (instructions for use, study results, literature, user manuals, etc.) or technical translations (installation manuals, user manuals, troubleshooting guides, documentation, etc.).

Sworn translation

Sworn translators are legal experts registered by the French courts. They are the only ones who can validate the translation of official documents. transprose should be able to offer this service soon.

Quality control/proofreading

Proofreading and quality control are vital steps that enable us to guarantee the quality of the final text. A translation error, a misinterpretation, a spelling mistake or a grammatical error can have a negative impact on your image. We ensure that the final text is easy to read and tailored to the target market. This involves correcting any mistakes, removing repetition, checking the terminology, consistency and style harmony, making sure the punctuation is correct, etc.

Terminology

Following the terminology enables us to ensure the consistency of texts from the same client, to create a uniform image. It is also important to use the terms that are specific to a field or a client. We can therefore create terminology databases during the translation project or at the end of it, and we can also produce glossaries.

Localisation

The term localisation means adapting the translated text to the geographical region it is intended for. It includes the cultural references, the adjustment of dates, hours, currencies or units, the local lingo, etc. Localisation requires a good knowledge of the target market. In the IT field, the term localisation refers to the translation of the messages that are displayed to the user. It is often necessary to observe some length restrictions.

Alignment

Alignment makes it possible to integrate previous translations into a translation memory. The source and target segments are linked to create a translation unit. This process helps optimise the existing translation resources that are often stored in Word files. It allows us to quickly create translation memories and increase the consistency.
